Go green - and yellow, purple and orange too. Community gardens - land that is gardened by a group of people in the community - have been shown to offer a multitude of benefits. They help beautify communities, produce nutritious food and increase social interaction. The nonprofit American Community Garden Association is a good resource on community gardens, including tips for locating community gardens around the country and starting a community garden.
