Frito-Lay has issued a voluntary recall of GRANDMA'S Peanut Butter Sandwich Crème Cookies because the product contains undeclared milk and eggs. Specifically, the cookies do not list the presence of possible allergens that are included in an artificial butter flavor ingredient.

The following companies have announced recent voluntarily recalls related to an existing recall by Sunland, Inc., based in New Mexico, of nut butter and peanut butter products, because of potential salmonella contamination.
As previously announced, Chattanooga Bakery Inc. of Chattanooga, Tenn., has voluntarily recalled a peanut butter crunch product sold at Food Lion, Harveys and Reid’s stores. The affected product is the 9.6-ounce MoonPie Peanut Butter Crunch, UPC 72108-18901-7. The expanded recall includes products with the following expiration dates 10/29/12, 12/10/12, 01/07/13, and 01/29/13.
Newman's Own Organics has voluntarily recalled Newman O's Peanut Butter Cookies products sold at Food Lion stores. The affected product is the 8-ounce Newman O's Peanut Butter Cookies, UPC 7-57645-02170, with best-by dates of 27-May-13 and 26-NOV-10 or later.
Late July Snacks has voluntarily recalled Late July Mini Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers products sold at Food Lion stores. The affected product is the 5-ounce Late July Mini Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers, UPC 8-90444-00070-0, with best-by dates of 19MAY13 through 11JUL13.

The packaged produce item would be labeled, “Garden Highway Mango Medley,” and would have the UPC code (8-26766-21437).
Splendid Products voluntarily recalled Daniella mangoes this week due to possible salmonella contamination. Upon notification, Bottom Dollar Food immediately disposed of the affected packaged produce item containing Daniella mangoes.
Customers who may have purchased the affected products are urged to dispose of the items and bring the receipt or sticker to their local Bottom Dollar Food store for a full refund. These products should not be consumed.
This product would have a sell-by date of Aug. 28.
Burch Equipment LLC, North Carolina previously announced a recall of cantaloupes because of the potential presence of listeria monocytogenes, and the company expanded its recall to include additional cantaloupes and later corrected the variety of cantaloupes involved in the recall. Food Lion and Reid’s were not a part of the initial recall notice. No confirmed illnesses have been associated with either recall, according to Burch Equipment LLC, North Carolina.

The item is a 2.5 oz. bottle with all expirations dates being affected by the recall. The recall was initiated due to the product containing an undeclared milk allergen. People who have allergies to milk run the risk of serious or life threating allergic reactions if they consume this product. Therefore, we immediately conducted a voluntary product recall. Consumers are encouraged to return the product (UPC # 8-94180-00002) for a full refund.

On April 6, the company issued a voluntary recall after learning that the Food Lion-branded hard/soft taco dinner kit may have contained a milk allergen in chicken Caesar-flavored seasoning. The seasoning was not properly marked and was mistakenly included in the taco dinner kit by the manufacturer. After learning of the error, the stores immediately pulled the product from shelves. The manufacturer has since expanded the recall to include additional products with the incorrect seasoning.
The recall is being issued in an abundance of caution, and customers who may have purchased the recalled products are urged to return the items to their local Bloom, Food Lion, Harveys or Reid's store for a full refund.

The problem with the product is the potential leak of components in the wrap, which could cause a second degree skin burn. Pfizer has received only 1 report to date of a 2nd degree skin burn that resulted from leaking products in a wrap from the identified lot. Approximately 15% of retained samples from the identified lot were found to have the same defect as the reported leaking products, so additional burns could occur.
Pfizer will continue to work with The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ensure that this voluntary recall is being conducted in the most effective way possible.
