Food Lion does not currently sell this product, and we stopped selling it more than a year and a half ago. However, we still want to make our customers aware of this voluntary recall from Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. The UPC and Lot numbers of the recalled product are:

The following product with the specific use-by date and UPC code listed is being recalled because they may have been distributed to retailers nationwide and sold in the frozen foods section of the supermarket:

Thermacare Menstrual 8 hour, 3 ct Wrap

Lot: E06831 (which may be followed by “S” or “N” (i.e. E06831S or E06831N)

The problem with the product is the potential leak of components in the wrap, which could cause a second degree skin burn. Pfizer has received only 1 report to date of a 2nd degree skin burn that resulted from leaking products in a wrap from the identified lot. Approximately 15% of retained samples from the identified lot were found to have the same defect as the reported leaking products, so additional burns could occur.

For more information, Pfizer is asking that consumers visit www.thermacare.com or call the Pfizer Product Information Line at 1-800-323-3383, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm EST for product replacement.
