And that tasty holiday is what this blog is all about! After all, who doesn’t love tacos? This quick and easy entree has made its way into the hearts of families all across the nation. It’s simple to make, delicious and pretty low-cost, too!

You could even enjoy a different taco recipe for every meal of the day. Sounds pretty amazing, right? We couldn’t agree more and have inspiration for taco dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner detailed below. In fact, we have a total of six recipes in this blog that could make their way to your breakfast table, lunch box or dining room for Taco Day.

Let’s get started with the first meal of the day and look at some tacos for breakfast!

Tacos for Breakfast

Sweet & Savory Breakfast Waffle Tacos

Picture a waffle breakfast. You have warm, crisp waffles, a side of fluffy eggs with a sprinkle of shredded cheese and savory bacon. Now, imagine eating that as a taco for breakfast. Oh, and did we mention your taco shell is a waffle? That’s right! So, be sure to pick up your favorite brand of frozen waffles like Food Lion brand when shopping for your morning taco ingredients.

Once your eggs and bacon are cooked, and your waffles are baked in the oven using the bottom of a muffin tin (in order to form them into taco shells), you’ll then brush the bacon with maple syrup. That way, you and your family can enjoy a sweet and savory flavor combination with every bite.

Breakfast Tacos with Plant-Based Sausage

Plant-based proteins have become very popular among families looking for vegetarian options or simply trying some better-for-you choices. This breakfast taco recipe gives you the chance to sample plant-based sausage along with fresh tomato and avocado, eggs and a savory potato hash. These ingredients together make for a filling, protein-packed taco that’s sure to help you and your family start your day right on National Taco Day (or any day of the week).

Want to make these Breakfast Tacos with Plant-Based Sausage entirely plant-based? Skip the eggs and fill with extra vegetables (like sauteed bell peppers and corn) instead. You’ll also want to use olive oil in place of the butter.
