2020 CIAA Tournament

The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) is the oldest African American athletic conference in the United States, comprising 13 colleges and universities from North Carolina to Pennsylvania. We proudly serve many of the communities where these schools are located.

Our partnership with the CIAA supports athletics, celebrates education, promotes wellness and recognizes diversity and inclusion. We are honored to support CIAA students, fans and customers through scholarships and sponsored activities during the tournaments every year. Since the beginning of our partnership, we have donated more than $5 million in scholarships to CIAA schools, and today we employ many CIAA students and alumni through our early talent programs.

Voting will begin at 9:00am EST on Monday, February 3, 2020 and end at 11:59pm EST on Friday, February 27, 2020. Voting is unlimited. The queen with the most online votes will be presented with a $2,000 check to the local food pantry in her CIAA community.

We believe no one should have to choose between dinner and rent or groceries and a college education. It's hard for students to learn when they are hungry and that's why Food Lion is proud to support this initiative along with sponsoring and building five pantries at CIAA schools since 2014. A check presentation will be made to food bank officials during the crowning of the Miss CIAA 2020 on Saturday, February 29th during “Super Saturday” at the Convention Center. Food Lion will also present the new Miss CIAA with a $2,500 scholarship.

The CIAA 2020 Career Expo will be held Thursday, Feb. 27th, from 10:00am – 2:00pm at the Charlotte Convention Center (Grand Ballroom) on 501 South College Street in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The CIAA Career Expo is designed to provide organizations the opportunity to meet recent graduates, current students from CIAA member-schools and other universities, career seekers, career switchers and recruits for available positions.

The CIAA has a rich and storied tradition in intercollegiate athletics and has an equally extensive list of alumni who have gone on to make tremendous strides in many different positions.
