Brandi Gourdine is a native North Carolinian who hails from the “Queen City” of Charlotte. Brandi is a Biology major and aspires to work as a chemical lab technician while preparing to attend medical school in Atlanta, GA.

During her matriculation at Livingstone College, Brandi obtained leadership positions in various organizations and student life, these have included: Freshman Class President, Miss Sophomore; Blue Bear Ambassador; and working for the Summer Bridge Program as a peer mentor having been a product of the program herself. Brandi is a member of the NAACP chapter, the Women’s Economic Empowerment Program; the Beta Psi Club in affiliation with the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club, Inc. Brandi is also a member of the Livingstone College Honors Program and Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society. She serves as the president of the Alpha Xi chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Brandi stands on the platform “Nurturing the Legacy: Poise, Preparation and Perseverance”. She believes that she can revive the legacy of greatness set by the founding fathers of her institution through mentorship, professional development and programs focusing on life after college and what it means to stand out in today’s society.
