Miss Saint Augustine’s University (SAU), Paulette Addison-Hernandez, is a senior business administration major from Moca, Puerto Rico by way of Wilmington, North Carolina. Academic and athletic success during high school afforded Paulette an athletic and academic scholarship to North Greenville University in Greenville, South Carolina. In the fall of 2016, Paulette transferred to SAU where she is now continuing her scholarship in academics and athletics.

Since becoming a Falcon, Paulette has been very active on campus and belongs to the following organizations: the women’s basketball team, Delta Mu Delta National Honors Society, National Black MBA Association, Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Through these various platforms she has given back to the community with extensive service hours, all the while making the Dean’s List each semester.

Through her reign as Miss SAU, Paulette aspires for her and her council to be representations of womanhood, diversity and accessibility. Together, under Paulette’s leadership, the council wants to accomplish their vision through intergenerational mentoring and encouraging student engagement.

After graduation, Paulette plans to start a career in real estate and continue her basketball career professionally in Puerto Rico as she was drafted in the summer of 2016.
