  • Metal spoon
  • Scissors
  • Small kitchen knife
  • Citrus Essential Oils (lemon, orange or blend)

Instructions:

  1. Cut the fruit of your choice in half and slice a small part of the citrus as the bottom of the peel in order to keep it level.

  3. Place peels on a baking sheet or inside a cupcake pan to keep them stable.
  4. Use knife to break the votive candle in half so that you can remove the wicker.
  5. Place the wicker inside the peel and then place the candle wax in a microwave safe bowl.
  6. Melt the wax in the microwave, in 2 minute intervals until fully melted.
  7. Remove wax from the microwave, using a heat-proof gloves or pot holders, and add a few drops of citrus essential oil to the mix.
  8. Pour the melted wax into the fruit peel before it begins to harden.
  9. If necessary, use a pencil or straw to keep the wick centered.
