These delightful apple turnovers are great for breakfast or dessert! Serve with warm apple cider for apple overload!
- Thaw the puff pastry for about 15 minutes or until you can gently unfold it without breaking it.
- Use a small pastry or pizza cutter to cut each sheet into four squares. Place a dollop of apple pie filling in the center of each puff pastry square. Brush the edges with egg wash and fold over each square, making a triangle. Gently press down and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush each turnover with egg wash and sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake in a preheated 400 degree F oven for about 15 minutes. Or until nicely golden brown. Let cool slightly before applying icing.
- Whisk together icing ingredients. Make it the consistency you want and drizzle over warm turnovers. Serve immediately.
