Classic creamy potato side.
- Heat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a 9 by 13 inch baking dish.
- In a sauce pan, over medium heat, combine garlic, heavy cream, and milk and heat until bubbles just begin to form around the edges. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Pour milk mixture over potatoes and use your hands to make sure that none of the potato slices are stuck together. Take the potatoes from the milk (Don't throw out the milk!) and place in the baking dish. Pour milk mixture over the potatoes and bake for 40 minutes, or until potatoes are beginning to brown and bubbling.
