  1. In a 12-inch skillet, place the oil and the sausage and cook until the sausage is browned and heated through. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set it aside in a bowl.
  2. Toss the onion in the skillet and sauté it.
  3. Add the potatoes and the contents of the sauce packs that come with them. Add the water.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat down to medium and cook for approximately 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add the cheese and stir until creamy and melted. Cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add the vegetables and stir them in; cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Add the sausage back in and stir. Cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Continue cooking until the sauce is thick and creamy and the vegetables are heated all the way through.
