Buttery, flaky and cheesy...these crescent dogs meet all of the requirements for a good appetizer. These could even be great brunch bites.
Ingredients
Directions
- In a deep fryer, heat the canola oil to 325 degrees by medium-high heat.
- Place each sausage on plate and microwave for 1 minute.
- Unwrap the dough and place one half of a bacon strip down, half of a cheese slice and 1 smokie. Roll up the dough triangle and use a butter knife to seal the dough. Do this for the remaining dough triangles.
- Fry each crescent roll in the hot oil for 3-4 minutes or until the dough is browned all over. Drain using a colander or on a paper towel. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
