Make your home-made meatballs even more memorable by wrapping them in crispy bacon and cooking them in your favorite BBQ sauce.
- In a large bowl, combine the sweet sausage, ground beef, eggs, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper with your hands. Roll into balls the size of a golf ball.
- Cut the bacon strips in half. Wrap a piece of bacon around each meatball. Set on a half sheet pan lined with aluminum foil.
- Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for about 25 minutes. Baste with barbecue sauce several times throughout the cooking process. Broil on high for 3-4 minutes at the end to caramelize the bacon and barbecue sauce.
- Serve with additional barbecue sauce if desired.
