Start off your day with a hearty breakfast casserole that stars everyone's favorite breakfast trio: bacon, eggs, and cheese.
- In a medium saucepan, prepare the cheese sauce by melting butter, and then add the flour slowly so no lumps occur. Gradually add the half-and-half and cook over low heat until it thickens a bitâabout 10 minutes.
- Add the salt, pepper, and cheese. Stir until the cheese is fully melted, then remove the cheese sauce from heat.
- In a 9x9-inch pan, layer half of the eggs, followed by half of the crumbled bacon, then half of the cheese sauce. Repeat the layers again.
- Sprinkle cracker crumbs over the top and bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.
