Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Slice bacon in half and season each piece with black pepper. Strain artichokes and gently squeeze each artichoke to remove any excess liquid. Wrap each artichoke heart with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place on a rimmed baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 25 minutes until bacon begins to render, then broil for 5 to 8 minutes until bacon is deeply golden and slightly crisp.
  4. To make the lemon-garlic sauce, Place ingredients in a blender and puree until combined.
  5. Serve bacon-wrapped artichokes promptly with lemon-garlic sauce.
