Makes 20 Jalapeno Poppers
These party appetizers are spicy and crunchy, made with a tortilla chip-crusted coating. Try making homemade jalapeño poppers with a guacamole dip today!


Select ingredients:


  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  3. Cut the peppers in half and scoop out the seeds, membranes and other insides. If the peppers don't lay flat on a baking sheet, slice a little off of the bottom.
  4. In a bowl, food processor or blender, crumble tortilla chips until fine (they should resemble bread crumbs.) Transfer to a shallow bowl and set aside.
  5. Combine cream cheese, shredded cheese and garlic powder in a small bowl. Set aside.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together egg and egg white. Set aside.
  7. Stuff each jalapeno half with cream cheese mixture. Be sure not to over stuff.
  8. Dip stuffed pepper half into egg mixture, then roll in chip mixture, and place on baking sheet. Repeat for each pepper.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and hot.
