Baked Potato Soup

Creamy potato soup that will become everyone's favorite.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cook bacon until crisp. Reserve 2 tablespoons of drippings. Set bacon aside.
  2. In a large saucepan, saute chopped onion in drippings until tender.
  3. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and basil.
  4. Gradually add broth. Bring to a boil. Boil and stir for 2 minutes.
  5. Add potatoes, half-and-half. Heat through, but do not boil.
  6. Garnish with cheese and bacon.
