- In a large bowl, combine the corn meal mix, sugar, milk, beer, egg, and vegetable oil. Stir until completely mixed.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Spray an 8x8 inch square baking pan with cooking spray. Pour the cornbread batter into the prepared baking pan. Add the shredded cheese evenly to the top.
- Bake at 400 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
