- Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the onion and pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes or until softened. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute or until fragrant.
- Add the ground turkey to the pot and cook for 6-8 minutes or until cooked through. Sprinkle with the chili powder, cumin, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper and mix to combine. Stir in the beer and allow to cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, black beans and kidney beans and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cover. Cook for 30 minutes.
Substitution: Substitute water or beef broth for beer to keep costs down.
