Makes 4 big burgers
All the delight of a BLT sandwich in fabulous burger form! This BLT burger is sure to please.

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, the cubed Cheddar, the salt, and the pepper. Shape into 4 large patties.
  2. Brush each side of the patties with butter, then place the patties on the grill (pre-heated to high) and grill for approximately 6 to 7 minutes per side (check doneness with a meat thermometer; they should reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit).
  3. Cook your bacon according to package directions.
  4. Cut the red onion in half. Dice one half, slice the other half.
  5. In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, the ketchup, the diced onion, and the parsley. Mix well.
  6. Toast your buns, if desired.
  7. To assemble the burgers: spread the mayo/ketchup sauce on the bottom half of each bun.
  8. Add lettuce and tomato.
  9. Add a burger and an extra slice of Cheddar, if desired.
  10. Add sliced onion.
  11. Add a generous amount of cooked bacon!
  12. Top with the top half of the bun and serve.
