Bourbon Brown Sugar Salmon Bowl

Sweet and savory salmon served over rice with seasonal vegetables makes for a quick and delicious dinner. You can also cook this salmon on a sheet pan in the oven, if you prefer. Pick up cedar planks in the grilling aisle.

  1. Ask your butcher to skin the salmon fillets. Soak the cedar planks in water for a minimum of 2 hours.
  2. Place all of the ingredients of the marinate into a large Ziploc bag and push around on the outside of the bag with your fingers to mix. Place the salmon fillets into the marinate and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours.
  3. Preheat your outdoor grill on high. Place the cedar planks directly on the grill. Then place the marinated salmon fillets on the cedar planks. Spoon a little marinate on the top of the salmon. Close the grill and cook for about 15-20 minutes. Or until the salmon is caramelized nicely and it flakes easily with a fork.
  4. Serve with asparagus or another seasonal vegetable and your choice of rice.
