A tender slow-cooked beef brisket topped with a home-made cranberry gravy is a savory meal perfect for a busy week night, especially when served with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables.

Select ingredients:

  1. Place the brisket in the slow cooker, sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Place the onion around the brisket.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the cranberry sauce, tomato sauce and mustard. Pour the mixture over the brisket. Add the apple cider to the slow cooker.
  3. Cook on low for 7 to 8 hours, or until the meat is tender. Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and slice thinly across the grain.
  4. Spoon gravy over the beef brisket. Enjoy with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
