Easy and quick to make and always a hit with kids. This is my go-to recipe when I need something in a hurry that everyone likes.
Ingredients
Directions
- Melt the morsels and peanut butter together in a glass bowl in the microwave in 30 second increments. Stir between each melting. Once melted, the mixture should be creamy with just a few little butterscotch lumps. Don't be tempted to melt for a longer period of time. This mixture will burn in the middle very easily.
- Pour the Rice Krispies in a large bowl and then pour the melted peanut butter mixture on top. Use a large spoon and slowly fold the melted mixture into the Rice Krispies until all are coated.
- Pour the entire bowl of mixture into a large 9x11 pan (smaller if you wish to have thicker treats) and cover with wax paper. Take a flat bottom glass and press on the wax paper covered mixture until it is flat and even in the pan.
- Set this aside for an hour or so for the mixture to cool and set. Then cut into squares and enjoy!
