Select ingredients:

  1. Slice each banana, with the skin on, along the inside curve without slicing all the way through. Spoon the chocolate hazelnut spread along the inside of the banana and sprinkle with the almonds.
  2. Wrap the bananas in foil and set over a campfire or on a grill set at medium heat until the bananas are warmed through and the chocolate hazelnut spread is melted, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Unwrap the bananas and top with the blueberries and strawberries. Add a generous dollop of whipped topping to each banana boat, if using. Serve immediately.

Recipe Tip: To check for doneness, squeeze the bananas with a pair of tongs. If the banana is still firm, continue cooking until soft to the squeeze.
