Chicken BBQ Sliders

The best thing about sliders of any kind is how perfect they are for leftover proteins. A little bun, some imagination and last night's rotisserie chicken and voila, a cute little platter of sandwiches. They are especially suited for a July 4th menu as a cross between finger food and hearty fare. These barbecue chicken sliders paired with a colorful slaw and sprig of Italian parsley look as good as they taste.

- Remove chicken from bone and roughly chop or shred until chicken is in bite sized pieces. Heat barbecue sauce in a pan and add chicken until heated. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Separate buns and place on baking sheet. Smear the inside of each bun with butter and toast until golden brown.
