Crab and Avocado Melt

This easy Crab and Avocado Melt comes together in just minutes and is a nutritious, flavorful option for brunch, lunch, or dinner! Crusty wholegrain bread is topped with mashed avocado, a simple crab salad, vine-ripened tomatoes, and a slice of melted Provolone cheese. The open-faced sandwich is sweet, creamy, salty, and 100% satisfying!



  1. Heat broiler on high.
  2. In a small bowl, mash avocados with lime juice. Add salt and pepper, to taste.
  3. In a separate bowl, stir together crabmeat, mayonnaise, ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper.
  4. Arrange bread on a baking sheet. Divide avocado evenly among slices, and then top with crab mixture. Finish each slice of bread with 1 slice of tomato and 1 slice of cheese.
  5. Broil until cheese is golden brown, approximately 3-4 minutes (but keep a close eye on it because it might be done even faster).
