Take one of your favorite summer meals (burgers) and turn it into a comfort meal make in the crock pot perfect for a cold winter night!
- In a medium frying pan, brown onions and beef until the beef no longer has any pink in it.
- Place the beef, onions, canned tomatoes, bacon, celery, carrots, potatoes, chicken broth, garlic, salt, basil, parsley and pepper in the crock pot and cook on low for 7 hours. Leave out the cheddar cheese, cream cheese, milk and flour until 5-10 minutes before serving.
- Around 5-10 minutes before serving, in a large bowl whisk together the milk, cheeses and flour. Add the mixture to the crock pot and mix in. Place cover back on the crock pot and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes or until desired consistency.
- Top with scallions or additional crumbled bacon, if you want.
