Double the chocolate for double the delicious flavor with these heart-shaped chocolate doughnuts covered in a home-made chocolate glaze and topped with chocolate sprinkles.

Select ingredients:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly spray a heart-shaped doughnut pan with cooking spray.
  2. Mix the flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt, and sugar together in a mixing bowl. Mix the buttermilk, egg, butter, and vanilla in a large measuring cup. Stir the buttermilk mixture into the flour mixture until well blended. Pour the batter into a plastic bag, cut off the tip, and pipe batter into the greased doughnut pan wells.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool for about 5 minutes in the pan before turning out onto a rack. Once the doughnuts have cooled, add glaze and sprinkles.
  4. For the glaze, mix together all ingredients until well blended. If it is too thick, add more powdered sugar. If too thin, add more milk.
