- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly spray a heart-shaped doughnut pan with cooking spray.
- Mix the flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt, and sugar together in a mixing bowl. Mix the buttermilk, egg, butter, and vanilla in a large measuring cup. Stir the buttermilk mixture into the flour mixture until well blended. Pour the batter into a plastic bag, cut off the tip, and pipe batter into the greased doughnut pan wells.
- Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool for about 5 minutes in the pan before turning out onto a rack. Once the doughnuts have cooled, add glaze and sprinkles.
- For the glaze, mix together all ingredients until well blended. If it is too thick, add more powdered sugar. If too thin, add more milk.
