- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, heat the sugar and milk, whisk to dissolve the sugar. Remove from the heat and add the eggnog. Let cool completely and refrigerate until chilled.
- Pour the chilled cream and eggnog mixture mixture into your ice cream maker and process according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Transfer the ice cream into an airtight container and freeze for a minimum of 4 hours or overnight.
- Scoop into bowls. sprinkle with ground nutmeg if desired and enjoy.
