You’ve probably enjoyed an everything bagel & schmear with your morning coffee at least once or twice. But this recipe puts a spin on this simple breakfast to make it the perfect dish for lunch, dinner, snack time or even as an appetizer. Instead of a bagel, you’ll use a package of crescent rolls, as well as either Everything Bagel spice mix or a mixture of your own, plus an egg and hot dogs! This is a hot dog recipe that the whole family can enjoy. Simple enough for the kiddos, but perfectly flavorful for the adults. Now, snag the ingredients below from your local Food Lion, get cooking and serve with a side of ketchup or mustard!
Ingredients
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly coat a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
-
In a small bowl add sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried onion, dried garlic, and sea salt. Mix to combine and set aside.
-
Separate crescent roll dough at perforations and spread a piece of cream cheese over each section of dough. Place a hot dog on top of the cream cheese layer and roll to encase the hot dog in dough. Put the rolled hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet and brush lightly with beaten egg.
-
Sprinkle prepared everything bagel spice mixture over the top of each hot dog. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
*Tip: Instead of making your own, feel free to use your favorite store-bought Everything Bagel seasoning blend.
