- In a skillet, sautÃ© the onions and the sweet pepper in butter until the onions are clear. Transfer the vegetables to the bottom of an 8x8-inch baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, cheese, salt, pepper, and basil. Pour the egg mixture over the vegetables.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until the eggs are firm, then sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes. Serve hot.
