Gather your ingredients
Slice all the gumdrops in half.
*If you do not like the taste of black licorice, make sure to remove the purple ones.
In an electric mixer, cream together the butter and brown sugar on medium speed.
Slowly, beat in the egg and vanilla for 30 seconds.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, oats, baking soda, cinnamon, and baking powder.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and combine.
Throw in the gumdrops.
Stir on slow speed until combined.
Place heaping tablespoon sized drops of dough two inches apart on a baking sheet.
Bake 8-11 minutes at 350 degrees. The centers should be soft and the outsides should be lightly brown when they are done.
