- In a medium saucepan, blanch the green beans in boiling water for 3 minutes. Transfer the beans to a bowl of ice water until cooled, then drain and place in a medium bowl.
- Add the pear slices and lightly toss.
- In a small bowl, prepare the salad dressing. Whisk the oil and vinegar, and then add the brown sugar. (This dressing needs to be mixed thoroughly and served immediately.)
