Green Bean and Pear Salad

Is your garden producing bushels of green beans? Put them to good use in this sliced pears in this sweet salad.


Select ingredients:


  1. In a medium saucepan, blanch the green beans in boiling water for 3 minutes. Transfer the beans to a bowl of ice water until cooled, then drain and place in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the pear slices and lightly toss.
  3. In a small bowl, prepare the salad dressing. Whisk the oil and vinegar, and then add the brown sugar. (This dressing needs to be mixed thoroughly and served immediately.)
