Ingredients
Directions
- Preheat grill on high with the lid closed for 10-15 minutes. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, mix ground beef, salt, egg, bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese by hand until just combined. Separate into 4 equally sized patties, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Open the lid and reduce the grill temperature to medium. Place patties on the grill and close the lid for 5 minutes. Meanwhile, microwave the tomato sauce, covered with food wrap or a paper towel in a microwave-safe bowl, for 30 seconds.
- Flip patties and top with mozzarella cheese. Cook for another 3 to 5 minutes, depending on desired meat temperature. While waiting, place the burger buns cut-side-down on grill and lightly toast. Remove the meat from grill.
- Spread warm tomato sauce on the burger buns and top patties with 4 pepperoni slices each. Serve immediately.
