Grilled Sausages with German Style Potato Salad

This mayonnaise-free potato salad is the perfect accompaniment to juicy, savory sausages! Dijon mustard and crispy bacon add richness and complexity to this straightforward dish which magically tastes hearty and light at the same time.


Select ingredients:


  1. In a large pot of salted water, boil potatoes until tender, about 25 minutes. Place cooked potatoes immediately into an ice bath to cool.
  2. Whisk together mustard, oil, spices, rosemary, water,and vinegar in a medium bowl until smooth.
  3. Chop cool potatoes into 1" cubes. Combine potatoes, bacon and pickles in a large bowl, toss to mix well. Drizzle with prepared dressing, stirring to coat potatoes well. Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
  4. On a hot grill or large skillet, thoroughly cook sausage links turning once after about 5 minutes. Toast hotdog buns.
  5. Serve hot sausages in prepared buns with additional condiments and potato salad on the side.
