Q: What's better than a steak that's fresh from the grill? A: A fresh-from-the-grill steak served with blue cheese, bacon, and chive butter!
Ingredients
Directions
- In a bowl, combine the softened butter, the bacon, the blue cheese, and chives, mix well. Shape the mixture into the shape of a log using plastic wrap, then chill in the refrigerator.
- Prepare your steaks: apply a small amount of oil to each side, then add salt, pepper, and any additional seasoning as desired.
- Place the steaks on a hot grill on high heat. Grill the steaks for 4 to 5 minutes per side, until a meat thermometer registers an internal temperature of 135 degrees Fahrenheit (for a medium doneness).
- Remove the cheese log from the refrigerator, remove the plastic, and slice into "wheels." Serve the steaks with one or more "wheels" on top.
