Collect all ingredients above.
Brown beef, onion and bell pepper in frying pan.
Once meat is browned; add tomatoes, salt, and soup.
Simmer beef mixture while cooking the egg noodles according to package directions.
Add cooked, drained noodles and 1/2 package of cheese to beef mixture.
Pour into casserole dish and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Casserole can be served directly from this pan at this point, just sprinkle it with remaining cheese.
Another option - you can pour the mixture into a casserole dish, sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake it for a crispier top. Bake in oven for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
