  1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES & GREASE & FLOUR 3 - 9 INCH CAKE PANS
  2. IN MIXING BOWL: CREAM SUGAR, OIL & EGGS, ADD MILK & VANILLA. BLEND WELL & ADD FLOUR A CUP AT A TIME. BEAT UNTIL SMOOTH & FLUFFY. DIVIDE EVENLY BETWEEN THE 3 PANS & BAKE 30 TO 35 MINUTES OR UNTIL TOOTHPICK COMES OUT CLEAN. REMOVE TO WIRE RACK, COOL COMPLETELY & CUT EACH LAYER INTO 2 LAYERS.
  3. PREPARE PUDDING WHILE CAKE IS BAKING & COOLING, IN A HEAVY SAUCE PAN, COMBINE 3 EGG YOKES 1 CUP SUGAR ½ CUP FLOUR 2 CUPS WHOLE MILK MIX & STIR OVER MEDIUM HEAT UNTIL IT BEGINS TO THICKEN, ADD 1 TBLSP BUTTER & CONTINUE TO COOK UNTIL A RICH SMOOTH PUDDING CONSISTENCY. COOL COMPLETELY
