Honey and chili adds and even more sweet and savory edge to a simple roasted sweet potato.


Select ingredients:


  1. Adjust oven rack to middle position and preheat to 425 degrees. Line a sheet tray with foil then spray oil in a even layer on foil. Place the sweet potatoes on the prepared tray and season to taste with salt. Bake for 20 minutes, until the sweet potatoes are soft and beginning to brown.
  2. Combine honey and red pepper flakes in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds. Toss sweet potatoes with honey mixture and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Serve hot tossed with sliced scallions
