Crusty on the outside, soft on the inside, this Irish soda bread has nothing but wholesome ingredients.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease and flour a bread pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and sugar.
- Add the buttermilk, butter and egg. Remove the dough and place on a flat, floured surface and knead for 1 minute or so. Form the dough into a loaf shape and place into the bread pan.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the dough is baked through.
