If you've never heard of a Hot Kentucky Brown then you've never spent much time in Kentucky (no judging, just sayin'). It is the most delicious, hot- open-faced sandwich around! The fact that it's lightened up in this recipe makes it even more appealing. The secret is the Parmesan cream sauce.
- Toast bread slices until lightly golden.
Preheat boiler and line baking sheet with foil or spray with non-stick spray. Lay toasted bread slices on tray and layer on cooked chicken, followed by crumbled bacon, red pepper flakes (if using), and then equal amounts of parmesan cheese sauce and finally Parmesan cheese.
- Broil until cheese melts or until golden brown.
