This homemade kettle corn is the perfect salty summer snack that can be made with only a few ingredients in just 10 minutes.

  1. Use parchment paper to line a baking sheet.
  2. Pour the oil in a large, non-stick pot. Add in a few popcorn kernels, and raise the heat to medium high.
  3. Once the first kernels pop, add in the rest of the popcorn kernels and sugar. Cover the pot, placing a piece of parchment paper in between the lid and the pot to help keep the lid clean. At 10 seconds intervals, pick up the pot and shake it really hard for 3 seconds, then return it to the heat for another 10 seconds. Repeat this until the popping sound slows. Transfer the pot from the heat and pour the popcorn on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle salt evenly over the popcorn and allow to cool for a few minutes.
  4. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container or zip bag for several days.
