Quick and easy bread that will remind you of your favorite ham and cheese sandwich


Select ingredients:


  1. Place rack in center of oven. Heat oven 350F. Lightly grease loaf pan.
  2. In large bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt and cloves. In medium bowl, whisk eggs, milk, oil and maple syrup. Fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just mixed. Fold in ham and 1 cup cheese.
  3. Scrape batter into prepared pan; smooth top. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until loaf is golden brown and wooden pick inserted in center comes out with few crumbs attached. During last 1 to 2 minutes of baking time sprinkle top of loaf with remaining 2 tablespoons of cheese.
  4. Cool in pan on rack for 5 minutes before turning loaf out of pan. May be served warm or room temperature.
