Whip up a big bowl of mashed sweet potatoes topped with chopped pecans for a sweet twist on a classic Thanksgiving side dish.
- Wrap each sweet potato with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated 400 degree F oven for about 1 hour, or until soft.
- Let cool slightly and cut each potato down the center. Scrape the insides of each potato into a large bowl, discard the skins.
- Use an electric hand mixer to beat the potatoes with the butter, heavy cream, maple syrup, brown sugar, and salt. Beat until you achieve your desired texture.
