Use a plastic sandwich bag to grease a 9 x 13 x 2-inch cake pan with the excess margarine. Rub some excess margarine on your stirring spoon.
Melt the 3T of margarine in a microwave safe bowl (large enough to mix all the ingredients) for about 20 seconds on high. Swirl the margarine around the bowl to coat the sides.
Place the marshmallows in the bowl and stir them to coat them with the margarine; microwave for about 2 minutes on high.
With the coated spoon, stir the marshmallows until smooth. Place the marshmallows back in the microwave and cook for about 1 more minute on high.
- Remove the mixture from the microwave and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla until mixed well.
Once mixed, stir in the cereal until coated.
Pour the mixture into the greased pan. Use the coated sandwich bag to flatten the mixture in the pan. Cool completely.
Cut into 24 rectangles and enjoy. Store the leftovers in an airtight container or bag.
