Ground turkey is lower fat than regular hamburger meat. When combined with a dash of Middle Eastern spice and a little feta cheese, it becomes a super savory, low calorie dinner that everyone in the family will love.

Select ingredients:

  1. In a bowl, combine all dry spices, one half an egg white and finely diced garlic and stir to combine. Add the ground raw turkey to the bowl and mix it until throughly combined.
  2. Heat 2 Tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground turkey mixture to the skillet and brown completely. Drain off all oil and set aside the cooked turkey in a bowl.
  3. Preheat oven to 375. Butter the bottom of a pie or tart pan. Lay phyllo sheets in the pan and press lightly to marry the sheets till the bottom of the whole pan is covered. The sheets should lay over edge of pan. Pour the cooled ground turkey mixture into the center of the pan. Sprinkle with the feta cheese and salt and pepper to taste. Fold the edges of the phyllo sheets over, to make a pie crust on top. Brush the top of the sheets lightly with butter.
  4. Bake at 375 for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the top of the pie is golden.
