Richly flavored and deeply herbal Greek dishes can seem intimidating, but with the right ingredients Greek fare becomes easy and delicious. These burgers pack a big flavor punch, and fantastic salty tang thanks to fresh mint, feta cheese, and perfectly charred red onions.
Combine lamb, feta, herbs and spices in a large bowl. Mix well with hands.
Form meat mixture into 4 patties, set aside.
Slice tomato and onion into 1” slices.
- Over a searing hot grill or well-greased cast iron pan, cook burgers, turning once, about 5 minutes per side.
- Once burgers are turned, add onion slices to grill.
- Remove burgers from grill, and assemble burgers by stacking them atop 1 large grilled onion slice, 1 tomato slice, and 1 romaine leaf.
