- Place mozzarella pieces I into the freezer for 30 minutes before stuffing.
- Mix together ground beef, sausage, garlic powder, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese. Add in egg and mix until well combined.
- Using wet hands, shape mixture into 18-20, two inch meatballs. Push a frozen mozzarella piece into the center and roll the meatball again (with wet hands) until round.
- Brown meatballs in a bit of olive oil on top of the stove, over medium heat for about 5 minutes (this can be done in batches), then place into the simmering sauce. Once all meatballs are in the sauce, cover and simmer gently for about 10 minutes.
