Aside from being creamy and delicious these easy mashed potatoes require only three steps to create. Best of all there's no mixer required and these will hold delicious turkey gravy better than their watery cousins.
- Boil a large pot of water filled approximately halfway. Add potatoes and 1 teaspoon of salt and boil. The potatoes will be cooked when a potato falls off of the fork.
- Drain potatoes in a colander and return to pot. First add butter and stir slightly with a two-pronged fork or other utensil. Add a dash of white pepper if desired. Use caution with the pepper or it will overwhelm the potatoes.
- Gradually begin to add cream, not adding too much at one time to keep the consistency. When potatoes are at desired thickness, serve immediately.
