Made with low-cost ground beef, two types of beans, corn, tomatoes and other budget-friendly ingredients, this chili will quickly remind you of your favorite taco dish. Plus, because it serves eight, it’s a great way to cook once and eat two to three times, making your budget go even further. Select ingredients:


  1. Heat a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and break into pieces using a wooden spoon. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Cook for 6-8 minutes until the meat is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Add the black beans, kidney beans, corn, diced tomatoes and chilies, tomato sauce, tomato paste, jalapenos and taco seasoning to the pot. Mix to evenly combine.
  3. Simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot with favorite toppings.

Recipe Tip: TTo cook in a slow cooker, add browned meat and remaining ingredients together and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
