Pan Fried Whole Trout

A Bisquick battered whole trout with lemon and oregano,


Select ingredients:


  1. Spread Bisquick in a tray
  2. Rinse Trout and pat dry
  3. Dredge trout in bisquick, covering the whole skin as evenly as possible
  4. Open fish and spread the salt, pepper and oregano inside the fish
  5. Slice 1 lemon in half and the other into slices
  6. Heat medium sized skillet on the stove top, melting in butter or oil. Place sliced lemons in pan
  7. Cook trout on medium for 5-6 minutes or until the batter is golden brown.
  8. Flip the trout and the lemons, cook for another 5-6 minutes or until golden brown
  9. Remove trout from pan. Skin should be crispy and the flesh flaky.
  10. Squeeze halved lemon on top of fish and enjoy!
